Privacy policy
This policy describes which personal data we process in connection with this website and with our dance events.
1. Controller
The Art of Dance Antonini, Grundstrasse 10a, 8712 Stäfa, Switzerland
info@theartofdance.ch · +41 76 276 70 55
2. Data we process
When you register for an event:
– first and last name
– email address and phone number
– number of people and, if provided, the name of a second participant
– your optional note in the registration form
– the consents you give (participation terms, privacy, newsletter)
– your entry code and its QR code, and the time you check in at the event
– the payment status of your registration
If you provide the name of a second person, please inform them about this privacy policy. We process that name solely to maintain the participant list.
Via the contact form: your name, email address and message.
Technically, when you visit the site: the usual server and connection data held by our hosting provider, and your chosen language.
To improve the registration process we also record which registration steps are opened and completed. A randomly generated identifier is stored in your browser's sessionStorage for this purpose. It does not identify you, expires when you close the browser window, and is not linked to your registration.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process this data to manage your registration, admit you to the event, handle payments, answer your enquiries, meet statutory retention obligations and — only with your explicit consent — send you information about upcoming events. The basis is performance of the contract, our legitimate interest in running a safe and functioning event, and your consent where required.
4. Cookies
This website sets no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies and embeds no third-party services for advertising purposes. Only technically necessary browser storage is used: for the language selection, for the registration identifier described above and, for signed-in administrators, for the session. This is why no cookie banner appears on this site.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We do not pass your data to third parties, other than the following service providers processing it on our behalf:
– Supabase: database hosting, storage of registrations and execution of server-side functions. Stored in the European Union.
– Stripe: processing of online payment via TWINT, if you choose that method. Stripe receives the details required for the payment. We neither collect nor store card or TWINT data.
– Our email delivery service, for sending the registration confirmation and the entry QR code.
Disclosure to authorities occurs only where we are legally obliged to do so.
6. Retention
We keep registration data for as long as required to run the event and to satisfy statutory retention periods; payment-related records are kept for ten years. Contact enquiries are deleted once resolved. Your newsletter consent applies until you withdraw it.
7. Photography and video
Photographs and video may be taken at our events for information, communication and promotional purposes, and published on this website, in our gallery, on our social media channels and in printed promotional material. You are informed of this by taking part. If you do not wish to be recorded, or to be recognisable in published material, tell us before or during the event — in person at the entrance or at info@theartofdance.ch. We will respect that and, on request, remove already published material in which you are recognisable.
8. Your rights
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw any consent at any time. Please contact info@theartofdance.ch.
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Transmission is encrypted. Access to registration data is limited to the people responsible for running the event.
10. Changes
We may amend this policy at any time. The version published on this page applies.

Participation terms
These terms apply to all events in the Goldküste Ballroom Dancing series, run by The Art of Dance Antonini ("TAOD"). By registering you accept these terms.
1. Registration
Registration takes place through this website and is binding once confirmed. You receive a personal entry code with a QR code to present at the entrance. The code is valid for the number of people registered and for the event booked.
Attending without a prior reservation is possible while places remain. There is no entitlement to admission without a reservation.
2. Waiting list
If an event is fully booked you can join the waiting list. A place on the waiting list is not a registration and gives no entitlement to attend. We will contact you if a place becomes available.
3. Prices and payment
The admission price is stated on the page of the relevant event and applies per person. The reservation itself is free. Payment is made at the door in cash or by Twint, or — where offered for that event — online in advance. A workshop is included in the price only where the event explicitly says so.
4. Cancellation by you
You may cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the event begins; amounts already paid are refunded in full. If you cancel later, or do not appear without cancelling, the full participation fee is due, unless a medical certificate is presented. Where nothing has been paid, we will not invoice you in that case provided the place was not otherwise held.
Please send cancellations to info@theartofdance.ch or to the phone number given on this website.
5. Cancellation or postponement by us
If an event cannot go ahead we will normally announce a replacement date. If you cannot attend the replacement date you are entitled to a full refund of amounts already paid. If no replacement date is planned, we refund amounts already paid in full.
TAOD reserves the right to adjust the programme, timings, teachers, music or venue where organisational, regulatory or other compelling reasons require it. Minor adjustments give no entitlement to a refund.
6. Running of the event and house rules
Please arrive in good time; the workshop starts at the stated time. Instructions from staff and the house rules of the venue must be followed. TAOD may refuse entry to, or remove from the event, anyone who disrupts it, harasses other guests or is visibly heavily intoxicated; no refund is due in such cases.
Persons under 16 may attend only when accompanied by an adult.
7. Photography and video
Photographs and video may be taken at our events for information, communication and promotional purposes, and may be published. You are informed of this by taking part. If you do not wish to be recorded, or to be published recognisably, tell us before or during the event. That wish will of course be respected. Details are set out in the privacy policy.
8. Liability
Participation is at your own risk. TAOD accepts no liability for personal injury, damage to property or theft, save in cases of gross negligence or intent on the part of TAOD. No liability is accepted for the cloakroom or for items brought with you.
Please judge for yourself whether your state of health allows you to take part in an evening of dancing.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Stäfa, unless mandatory provisions require otherwise.
